To rename a .MP4 file to .AVI:

  1. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the folder where your converted files are located.

  2. Right-click on any of the converted files and select " rename."

  3. In the " Rename File" window that pops up, type in “avi” (without the quotes) and click on OK. ..

  4. Open Windows Media Player and go to the “Monitor Folders” dialog.

  5. Select the folders that contain the videos you want to stream to Xbox 360. ..

Windows Media Player should be able to re-create the media library you have on your computer.

  1. After the installation is complete, restart the WMP Network Sharing service.
  2. Next, go to the Services console and right-click on the WMP Network Sharing service.
  3. Choose Restart from the menu that appears. ..

After you copied your MP4 files to your Xbox 360, you should have seen them in the folders. If not, try browsing through the folders again. I’m sure you’ll find them this time! ..

Adding more videos to your folders can be a pain, but it’s worth it in the end. Just make sure you do this process again every time you add new videos!
